The validation rules in a script are only executed on graphical elements that meet the SETUP criteria.

When numeric values are used to define search criteria such as SETUP LEVEL 8 the numeric value is used to select elements on levels with the specified "level number" equal to 8. If a level with the specified number is not valid for the current session, a secondary attempt is made to locate elements on a level named "Level 8". When use of named levels is preferred the SETUP LEVEL 'my level name' syntax can be used. For example SETUP LEVEL 'tax lot line' defines search criteria for all elements on the level named "tax lot line". Any combination of valid level names and numbers can be used for SETUP LEVEL criteria such as SETUP LEVEL 1,3 'tax lot label' 'tax lot line' 25-36 if so desired.
